from the mom
I've heard from so many of you: phone calls, emails, comments. THANK YOU. Last night when M got home he sent me out on errands and I talked to a good friend. There has been A LOT going on: a good friend lost and about to make what her friends and family consider a really horrible life choice, close friends that have recently separated, and so on. And sleep deprivation took its toll leaving me overwhelmed.
Last night M took over Kyri and we forgot what all the experts told us to do and just did what it took to get a little sleep. Short of brandy. Kyri had a triumphant look. The experts say to bed by 8. She was up until well past 11 with her Dad; I was sleeping. Then up at 7. She was up at least twice in the might but I think M did everything. I don't think I got out of bed.
One of our neighbors put up their Christmas lights. I'm glad Thanksgiving is earlier this year. I'm ready for Christmas lights and music. And to give my daughter some egg nog with hard liquor in it.

Glad you finally got some sleep.
My wonderful hubby is doing the cooking as usual. We are hibernating at home. It's cold!
Happy Thanksgiving.
We are doing the Christmas decorating this week-end. I am excited.

Isn't it great to have a husband who believes in team parenting?! Sorry for all your sleep deprivations and frustrations. I've been there!! You are in my thoughts and prayers!
And your new car is super cute! Love it! Small SUVs are great.
And why exactly is the brandy such a bad option? ;-) Praying you get the sleep you need asap!!
Kyri! You are not being Nice!

Kyri, hold out for the living room floor. Mama and I sleep in the living room at least once, if not twice, a week. It's great -- you get your way, but she gets to sleep on the couch so she doesn't whine as much.
