A Turkey, A Long Drive, and A Check Up

from the mom

We had a nice Thanksgiving. M was pretty much responsible for the turkey but managed to make me feel like I was. All who partook of the bird declared it wonderful.

Friday we drove to eastern Washington to see my grandma, aunt, uncle, and cousin and her family. Her family included Baby McKenzie who at 4 weeks was a hit with Kyri and Ben. Ben enjoyed playing with Dawson, her older brother.

Today Kyri went to the doctor for her 1-year check. Last visit the doctor urged us to try to improve her sleeping habits. This visit she declared we had done all we could and that we should just do what it takes for us to get all the sleep we can. She declared her one of those tough ones, who doesn't respond to anything. (We all agree on that.) Kyri has not gained any weight in 3 months (all that exercise) but had grown to match her brother's height at a year.

Uncle Mark spent yesterday with us and he and Ben played Halo together. Last night he flew home but he continues to dominate Ben's conversation today.
