Hobble, Hobble

We returned home yesterday from our escape to a place with electricity and internet. Our house was warm and everything was in fine order. I managed to get in six loads of laundry before running to do errands. While out, I managed to twist my foot. I was talking to people and rather than fall, I caught myself by wrenching my foot probably making it worse. Sometimes it is better to take the fall than let your pride mess you up worse.

I came home with some minor pain, but nothing major. As the evening progressed it became more and more painful until it couldn't even touch anything without intense pain. I crawled to bed. I took pain killers. I have iced it. This is not fun.

Fortunately, it has gotten a little better through the day.

I feel like I'm being asked to consider all those things that I take for granted. I'm really thankful for a working body. What a blessing! I'd like it back please.

I see others, my age, who are struggling with health issues and I feel blessed and will keep fighting the good fight to keep my health!

Hope you are markedly better tomorrow.
