The Parent Getaway

View from the Prom in front of our hotel
Thanks to my wonderful mother, Mike and I escaped for a quick break from our tremendously busy lives early this week. I used my fabulous Groupon Getaway to go to a great little place in Seaside, Oregon. Life has been fast and furious during this season and I thought I might rejuvenate and get some new perspective on some challenges I am facing with the kids right now. In reality, we would have to go away for much longer than two days to get that accomplished. But it was lovely. We managed to hit cold but sunny weather. And even though it was in the 30s and 40s, there was very little wind for the Oregon Coast. We particularly enjoyed a walk by Haystack Rock at low tide in Cannon Beach.

The Oregon Coast. One of our favorite places too. Glad you had a bit of holiday.

So glad you had this opportunity. 2 days may not be quite long enough, but as we both know it's SO MUCH Better than nothing. I look forward to having this chance again in a year or two. :)

Looks like a wonderful time! Enjoyed your Christmas letter and laughed out loud at the Prov 31 / Kyrie comparison. :)
