- Our first CSA box of the season arrived last night. Everleigh has insisted she doesn't like strawberries over the last month or so. But yesterday, when I finally convinced her to try a bite, she decided to make an exception for really ripe, organic, picked-that-day strawberries. "Mahr, mahr" was her response.
- Mike is getting a much-deserved break and going to the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival this weekend with a friend. He has wanted to attend for years and it has turned into a beautiful weekend.
- Ben had severe asthma issues this week after a nearly two-year break. Throw in a nasty infected lip after getting two cavities filled and we ended up at the doctor on Thursday. We were giving him breathing treatments every two hours and I was all prepared for all the hysteria that used to accompany these visits. Instead the doctor said, "Nice job Mom & Dad. You know what to do" and that was that. A 7-yr old asthmatic is easier than a 5-yr old asthmatic. Still, he pushed through and was able to see Cars 2 with his Dad yesterday he was doing so much better.
- Kyrie has been at her grandparents all week. She's getting all the attention of an only child and thriving on it. She misses Everleigh but I think that's about it.
- Everleigh came down with a cold on Thursday night. Not that it stopped her from playing non-stop yesterday. She misses her sister something dreadful and has to talk to her every day.
