With the appearance of summer in the NW, I've found renewed energy. I need less sleep and I go full speed longer.
Everleigh is also hitting an age where she can scoot in her walker or sit in her highchair and I can get a little more done. (And she is so cute while she does it.)
Right now I have two kids playing ball in the sprinkler and the littlest in her walker watching and loudly telling them how much she wants to be in the water too. I feel contentment all over.
I just made an elaborate Indian meal with two curries, rice, and banana smoothies. I've been cooking more, and even though there is still more than a mom with three little ones can get done, I'm doing what I love again. Cooking is creative and it nourishes my family in a real and physical way and it makes me happy. Cleaning has less rewards.
We've continued a tradition of doing special things after swimming lessons to celebrate the bravery it requires. I plan to take full advantage of the summer with picnics, ice cream, trips to the zoo, and dinner parties with friends. When fall comes I hope to have absorbed lots of Vitamin D.
