Mike had poker night last night and I folded about 8 loads of laundry and watched Dear John. I think I have finally accepted that I just don't like Nicholas Sparks movies. I'm not sure if my discomfort with these films comes from age and maturity or just dislike. They just feel like saccharine love and life to me. Artificially sweet with no substance. Elements of the story could be good but they fall short. Real life is just...richer. Somehow.
The girls kept waking up as is always the case when Mike is out of the house at night.
We have no plans to go anywhere anytime in the near future. I've been relishing this. Staying home. Having friends over. And today I started wondering where we could take a trip to. Ah. Wanderlust is in my blood. Even when I think I don't want to travel, I do.

I couldn't agree more on the Sparks movies. I saw Dear John recently, and frankly, it made me mad. Having three brothers in the military gives me a different perspective, I suppose.
Thanks for blogging so regularly - I love getting updates about you and the kids!
