Today we received an Easter e-card. It is a beautiful animated card with a cute little lost lamb. Kyri was really moved as she watched it. "Where is the mommy? And Daddy?" And then the indicative, "Where is her boy?" (This is the term she uses for Ben: "my boy.")
Then the lamb looks up and sees the Shepherd. "Oh," Kyri said relieved.
I explained that this was the Shepherd and that the Shepherd is Jesus. At this point, Kyri is tearing up and her lower lip is shaking.
"Kyri, are you the lamb?" I asked.
"Uh-huh."
"Honey, do you know how much Jesus loves you?"
"Uh-huh." Little tears starting to trickle down.
It was so real to her. And so precious. And I remembered that I, too, am that little lamb.

Kyri's Aunt Lindsay also had a tear or two at this precious reminder...
And I teared up thinking of Kyrie
tearing up. what a wonderful child.
Guess you will need to remember this when she climbs on the frig again.
