Day 9

One of the most frequent things we hear from Kyri is "I need you." It can be exasperating when you are standing right in front of her or holding her and she keeps saying, "I need you. I need you." We'll ask, "What do you need Kyri? I'm right here."

"I need you." And we will reassure her that we are here, with her, taking care of her, loving her, holding her. She takes some convincing at times.

I wonder how often I should just say to God, "I need You"? And leave it at that.

And I wonder how much more often I do say it repeatedly, without listening. Without hearing Him remind me that He is here.

Oh dear R. Middle child may always need reassurance that you are there for her. We can be such needy people sometimes.
Glad you had a good trip.
And yes, He is always there when you need Him.

Dear Rachelle, Our youngest used to every night after baqth time, tug at my apron strings and say I need YOU! The sweet time of scooping her up until she was quite old and taking a breather from my day of raising 6 children and homeschooling, canning baking, gardening, soapmaking and doing all the things I loved, wasso wonderful. Siting in the rocker and holding and rocking her and just being close was precious. Now that she is a grown woman, those memories keep my going with thw warm fuzzies, and always will remind me of how our Father scoops us up daily to rock us and visit with him, and what a comfort it is. Your children are beautiful. Enjoy! Matt's mom, Pat
