Last night I dropped off over 150 items of Ben's clothes from the past 5 1/2 years. I held a few things back that are favorites to give to family members but I've moved one too many times in my life to be too sentimental.
Our area has a twice yearly consignment sale put on by a couple of brilliant mothers who rent a place, advertise, and then give the consignors 75% of what they sell for.
This morning I went to shop. I found a little toy kitchen for $15 for Kyri and fully intended to put it away until her birthday in November or as a gift from her new sister in December. I knew it would take a lot of discipline to keep it covered in the garage. I asked Mike to help me get it out of the car and cover it up and he immediately tossed out saving it. "No, let's give it to her now." I only wish my camera was working so you could see the utter delight. To her credit when Mike told her that Mommy had gotten her a present, she looked at it and came running to me and gave me a big kiss and "thank you."
I found Ben four pairs of pants and Kyri a new pair of shoes. For the baby I found a pair of Pedipeds for cheap. At 2pm the half-price sale begins and I'll head back with a friend. I saw lots of clothing for Kyri but her needs aren't as big so I thought I would wait until it was cheaper.
