Our Lazy Nail Biter

Since giving up his pacifier two months ago, I've caught Ben biting his nails several times. Particularly obvious is the toenail biting. When I found him biting I would encourage him to stop and thought it was minor.

Until last night. I pulled out nail clippers because I realized it had been a long time since I had trimmed his nails. Being the weird child that he is, he usually enjoys this ritual. So I sat down to get started. Only he has no fingernails. They are bitten to the quick, just like his father's and mine. It is sad when you see the things you dislike most about yourself in your child.

This morning when his sister and I came to wake him up at 8:30, he was stirring under his covers. I pulled them away from his face and he said, "I want to keep sleeping." If he could give his sister some sleeping tips, that would be helpful.
