Not Morning People

from the mom

Our church celebrated Easter at one of the church family's homes in Gig Harbor. You can see the Puget Sound through the trees and it is a beautiful setting. It is also an hour from our house and the service was at 6am.

Our children thought we had lost our minds. They attended church in their pajamas and then we had brunch there. That was about as much fun as we could handle. We were home by 10:10 and everyone went back to bed until nearly noon.

At 6:20 as we were starting to eat dinner, Ben declared himself "too tired" to eat, asked for help with his pajamas and put himself to bed. He slept until 8:30 this morning. Kyri shaved off half an hour either side but she too was exhausted.

We're excited about Easter but pretty tired too.

I am not really a morning person either- at least not as I've gotten older.

But it would have been really nice to have been able to join the group this year.

I was really missing our Easter vigil with the bells. I think we will have to do that as a family next year.

The Lord is Risen!! Alleluia!!
