from Ben
Mommy keeps telling us that she is fragile and could go crazy at any time. Does that mean Daddy would stay home all the time?
We're seeing how far we can push her. Kyri gallops up the stairs when she isn't looking. She just realized that she COULD make it up the stairs last night and she's been trying it ever since. She also crawled all the way under Mom's bed to hide (getting out was harder than it looked), locked herself in Mom's closet, and smeared lipstick all over everything.
In all fairness I started the lipstick thing. I thought it was a great color crayon. It was really mushy but lots of fun. Mom put it in the trash and Kyri found it there. (She routinely checks the trash for cool new toys, but USUALLY Mom has the door closed to stop her.)
After Mom and I wrapped a package this morning, she turned around to address it and I decided to cut her comforter up. She was not so happy about that.
I think it is time for Daddy to come home.

When I was a really little, though a little older than B, I think... I decided to take off all the sheets from my parents' bed. I asked my friend to go into the kitchen and get a knife because we couldn't get the fitted sheet off, so we would cut it off. My mom happened along just as we were about to cut it off...
Oh, Rachelle! I remember those days and again I say, IT DOES GET BETTER! Different conflicts and stress but at least you don't have to worry about which part of the house (or who) is getting destroyed! :) Enjoy the precious momnets and hang in there during the not-so-precious!
Scissors and lipstick always play a big part in child horror stories, I've noticed.
