from the mom
Emotional
She has been really fussing (teething??) and was sitting down crying. The crying turned to talking really loudly and then she transitioned to laughter. Nothing had changed. She was just sitting there. Oh what a girl!
Sleep-Deprived
Kyrie neither naps well nor sleeps well at night. From what I can tell she is having peak separation anxiety combined with teething. She has made it clear that if we want to sleep she gets to sleep in the big bed with us (until she takes over her dad's side and he stumbles in to sleep with her brother). The teething has been endless.... And still nothing. I did break down and give her rice cereal to see if she would sleep better at night. It didn't help but she really thinks it is cool to eat it. She wants control of her spoon. She is pretty good at it. It gets to her mouth. And she seems to be making the sign for "more." Is it possible? I've shown it to her a few times but Ben didn't catch on this soon. Though she is much more interested in communication than Ben ever was.
Busy
I used to have time to blog. Now I do it late at night or haphazardly. Two kids who like to maintain separate nap times (or not nap at all), a little work here and there, and keeping up with the household have me hopping. Fortunately I caught little naps the last two days which helps me with the longer days. I was at Curves before 7am today and I'll probably be up until 11pm or so. That is just life. A full night of sleep would be great but for now, I'm thankful for naps.
