from the mom
Everything is packed that can be packed and the midwife has brought up at least twice the possibility that this may go fast enough that we may need to stay home. I was dilated to 2cm two weeks ago which I was told means nothing as far as when I go into labor, but usually indicates that my labor will be "progress nicely." "Does that mean it will go fast?" I asked. "Probably so," I was told. I am hoping it goes quickly but not TOO quickly. I'm still a little scared about labor, but my courage builds each day.
At today's visit, she estimated the weight at 8lbs at least. So now I'm really ready to go. However, truthfully, this baby seems pretty comfortable and not at all ready to leave the womb. He/she is using all of the space so I'm high and low.
I was asked twice today while out and about on errands when the baby was due. People were a little surprised when I said "Monday."

Praying your little one arrives soon!
Me, too!
Your post brings back memories - I was also at 2 cm (for two weeks) before Meredith was born and she came VERY fast. My doctor also told me, two weeks before she was born, that she was at least 8 lbs. She turned out to be just slightly more than 8 lbs.
We'll be praying for you in the coming weeks! Any day now ... that's so exciting. :)

I'm praying that God will make this a very smooth and safe delivery, and that baby will come in perfect timing. The whole wait/weight game is such a tense one! I also pray that God will keep you in perfect peace.
We're so excited for you all!!
