Still No Baby....

from the mother

In complete role reversal, M has been in bed for several hours and I am not tired. My mom is here helping out which means I sleep late in the morning, nap long in the afternoon and then can't sleep until after midnight. But all of this is important in case I have to labor at night, right?

Baby has taken seriously my request to hold off and I suspect plans on a November birthday. However, today, he/she spent a good part of the day resting instead of being busy, which he/she had been in the last week or two. Some say this indicates that the end is nigh. We shall see.... I am not counting on anything.

Ben spent the day shocking his grandmother with his strong-willed disobedient behavior. I asked him at the end of the day if he was trying to discourage me about having two kids. He set records for forcing disciplinary actions. We even aborted his playtime at the park when he collapsed on the sidewalk twice because we wouldn't let him walk in the wet muddy grass to get there. Then his full-term pregnant mom carried his little 27-lbs most of the way home filing this moment away as proof she isn't a complete wimp.

DOB's parents claim that it's much better to have the ornery one first, and that he made parenting all his younger siblings much easier by contrast. So maybe that's what he's trying to do for you.

"Fear not," Carrie says to herself, "Fear not." I'm so glad there are people to go before me. ;)

Ok! Praying for you for an easy labor and delivery! We wait with breathless anticipation for news of the next little one!

Tag, you're it!!
