Nesting

from Ben's mom

After two weeks of pleading that I was TOO TIRED to do any housework, I've vacuumed, spot-cleaned the carpets, cleaned two bathrooms, and got down on my hands and knees to clean the bathroom and kitchen floors. Oh and made a big batch of veggie chili to freeze for later. M says I'm definitely "nesting." Especially since my sleep is less than wonderful with many trips to the bathroom and the inability to find any comfortable sleeping position. (I did have a nice nap yesterday.)

In an effort to prolong the baby's arrival, we are hosting Bible study tomorrow night and I've invited friends for the next night. Baby is polite enough to know that the timing is not good, right?

At 37 weeks, I understand why they say women have more prelabor with their second one. I've had quite a lot and each time I have told the baby I wasn't ready yet. I need 10 more days and my schedule should be clear and I should be ready to go.

We did have a Birthin' Again class this weekend. It was really helpful, though we watched two birth videos which reminded me of how painful this is going to be. The first time you can only imagine.... Now I have been there and there is no doubt.
