from Ben's mom
The last trimester is well under way and I'm feeling it. Sleep is getting a little more difficult and getting in and out of our high bed is starting to be more challenging. My stomach is like a small volcano. This baby doesn't kick like Ben did--lots of hard, forceful jabs with his foot into my ribs--but moves constantly. Sometimes the rolling around gets quite uncomfortable. I can feel Baby's feet but he/she is more likely to use hands than feet to push at me.
M went to the Seahawks pre-season opener over the weekend. They lost (playing non-starters) but he said it was a lot of fun and enjoyed listening to the banter of the Australians beside him remark on American culture. (They didn't get the crowd responses to songs, etc...). We look forward to going next month; he says we'll have to arrive early and find some elevators or it will be quite interesting watching me walk up all those flights of stairs.
Ben decided to wake up at 6:30 this morning. I told him it was TOO early and gave him a book but that didn't last long. At 10am, I found him attempting to crawl in his crib; he'd tossed in a few books and toys he wanted. Even though he's been there for an hour and hasn't slept, he hasn't asked to get back down either. He is unique!
M parked in a city lot after hours last night thinking it was safe. He came out to find the car had been towed because apparently there was a town meeting and had been a sign saying you couldn't park there. Getting one's car back after tow is a spendy venture, and he came home to tell me to take the part-time data entry job I'd been offered. The bright side: We picked up extra frequent flyer miles for putting it on our credit card.

Yeah, I've had to learn that "don't park in any city/state lots" thing the hard way myself.
