from Ben's mom
They turned off the phone and DSL this morning a day early. I panicked and blew a lot of cell phone minutes on hold with the phone company. But they apologized and turned it back on. So now I have to blog because I have already experienced what tomorrow will be like. Internet-free.
My brother is currently missing his flight home. He called me with 35 miles to go about 40 minutes before his flight was supposed to leave. All the flights are full so he gets to spend some time on standby hoping to catch a flight up where he has a babysitting job tomorrow afternoon.
Ben is in Oregon with his grandparents so I can pack without him unpacking next to me. He is having a great time and he and Uncle Mark are scheduled to hang out tomorrow afternoon while his Grammy keeps an appointment.
I took time out for my first official midwife visit this morning. Last time we interviewed and selected our midwife; this time we really got started. My uterus is high; so she checked for more than one heartbeat. But she found just one and said the size was normal for one; I just am really high. It made me feel better about my big stomach. I've lost weight everywhere else so my pants are sliding down but my tops are too small. I've grown a lot just in the last week.
We packed most of the kitchen last night and I haven't bought food in ages; so we have to eat out tonight. I'm looking forward to going someplace we wouldn't go with a child. A date night that will end romantically with "Let's go finish packing the bedrooms and get started on the bathroom."

Oh, how romantic! :) Have fun packing and see you on Monday!
I know how it feels to be dsl free! It's like your lifeline to humanity has been severed! Moving is such a hassle, and we've experienced it for about the last month or so. Moving ourselves, and then having out-of-town guests for a week is a very....special experience! ;)
Hang in there!
