And the Mystery Goes On....

Well, as the doctor said several days ago, "the devil you know is better than not knowing...." And we still aren't sure what is wrong with Ben.

He tested negative for the bronchiolitis. The secondary diagnosis still stands, but it doesn't explain all his symptoms. But the chest xray ruled out everything obvious---bronchitis, pneumonia.... And his ears are mildly pink, but the doctor said they don't look infected, just affected by everything else. (Which is what was determined Monday.) His throat/tonsils look good too.

He had a tough morning psychologically. I think he expected to wake up feeling great and he woke up feeling crummy. He is coughing a lot but he has an appetite today and felt the need to get in a little drumming. (He really does have an insatiable need to practice, but he promises never to take Teri Hatcher to the Grammys.)

He was anointed and prayed for last night (after the test was conducted)and we recognize that the power of prayer has already been evident. His body is vulnerable to pneumonia, but he hasn't picked it up. And we all slept through the whole night. Ben woke me up once when he lost his passy, but it was found seconds later and he dropped back down to sleep.
