The Doctor

Last Thursday we went to see my doctor. Grammy came with us because Mom says she needs help when I get tested for allergies because my reactions afterward make me crazy.

The doctor had planned to test me but when she checked to see if my polio vaccine had cleared away, she found it hadn't and she decided to test and see if perhaps my food allergies are because of that yucky vaccine. She thinks it is likely. Mom became very excited at the possibility that I might be able to eat tomatoes and corn and citrus fruit and a lot of other things I don't get to eat.

So the doctor did a little treatment to me. It didn't hurt at all; it just buzzed on my body. Then she said that I would probably feel pretty tired and yucky for the next day or so.

Whew! She wasn't kidding. I promptly broke out in a sweat, my nose started running, and a lot of other really awful things I won't write about left my body. And I was so tired that I kept falling asleep all day. But Mom and Grammy kept telling me that in the end I would feel better. And I think I might be feeling a little better.
