My Weekend

I had a big night on Saturday. We went to meet some new people--Mrs. Denise, Mr. Chuck, and Rachel and Grant. Mom was really nervous about something and she kept giving me hugs and kisses. I was starting to get really worried and then she finally left. Then I played the piano and Rachel read me some books and we watched some really fun videos about Bob and Larry. I loved the music and I had to dance. And I laughed real hard. After that I went to sleep in my pack 'n' play. Mom had told me that she wanted me to go night-night there before I left. It was a fun night.

Dad thanked me later and said maybe we'll go to McDonald's for french fries because he is so happy that I was such a good boy and helped relieve Mom's fears about leaving me with a baby sitter. "I love you Ben and we have some good times. But you should know that sometimes I just want to be with your mom." I guess that's fair. After I all, I spend a lot of time alone with Mom and Dad never does.

Then last night I met another really nice lady named Ms. Dana. She liked playing with me. And I went to a restaurant and Dad let me sit at the table like a big person. And he gave me a huge plate of french fries. I shared with everyone else because there was no way I could eat them all.

Today I am exhausted and I am going to take a long nap because Mom says Grammy is coming for a visit this afternoon.

Get used to it, Ben. I had to. Even when I screamed and cried so long that I threw up and the babysitter had to clean me up three times in one night, they still left me with her again. So I gave up on that idea.

See if you can persuade your parents that a bowl of ice cream helps out with separation anxiety. That's good stuff! And now my parents suggest it to the babysitter every time.

Cute post ... I'm glad Ben did so well and you and MJR had some quality time together.

About kids laughing ... I think it's the best thing ever to watch a child become amused and start laughing hysterics. There's absolutely nothing more precious.
