from Ben's mom
We're under a flood watch in western Washington. It has been coming down for so long I can't remember when it started. To lift my spirits I checked the 10-day weather report and found that rain is forecasted for the next 10 days.
We had fun with Matt here despite Ben being unable to sleep at night and my succumbing to some wretched flu virus Mike found somewhere. We suspect Ben may have had it too, but since symptoms were sore throat and body aches, it was hard to know for sure. Today he is back to teething which he now indicates by pointing to his teeth when I ask if they hurt and whimpering. A few teething tablets though and he is back in business, despite the fever that accompanies it.
Mike has shown himself to be a true golf fan. He, Matt, and Dan went out Sunday afternoon and just by random chance played for the two hours that it actually wasn't raining. But they still came home soaked from the (I suspect) rivers that were running through the course. He had lots of good times with Matt and I am hoping I still have Matt's credit card saved from when I booked his ticket so I can book him another one. But first, Mike has to pass the Washington Bar. So back to the books.
My Ebay sales have been abysmal and with few garage sales during this season, I am going to work more on Ben's baby book and scrapbooking until I can get back into selling.
