Last night Lindsay called sometime after 9pm. She has a wonderful habit of calling us when she is up really late driving. "Let's see: It's midnight. Who could I call to help me stay awake? Oh my west coast friends Mike & Rachelle!" We love it! Back when Mike worked the midnight-8am security shift in Virginia, Lindsay would call him when she had insomnia. We like being remembered like this and if any of our other East coast friends find themselves up too late to call locally, we encourage them to give us a ring and catch up.

Oooh, yes! I do this occasionally (probably not quite midnight, though) and go through the exact same thought process. 'It's late and dark and I'm all alone in a car and have free cell phone minutes. Time to call the Oregon relatives.' Send me your home number. I would love to add you to my repertoire!
That phone call saved my sanity! Not only was it wonderful to catch up, but it helped me stay awake. We got home at 4 a.m. Nova Scotia time, and it was SO good to be home. Glad that Ben is getting better each day - may it continue. Love you all!
