For weeks Mom had been telling me that I was going to go on a big trip. No big deal. After all, I did come all the way across the United States when I was a baby. But I had no idea how much fun this one would be.
First, no car seat. Mom, Dad, and Sarah held me. Second, the ladies that kept coming by and telling me how wonderful I was. One told me that I was a treasured frequent flyer and I looked at Mom. Huh? (Mom told me later that we were flying on frequent flyer tickets that she had earned before I was born. Before me? Wow! That was a long time ago.) Third, all the people who talked to me, waved at me, and smiled at me. I've never gone anywhere with that many people before. One man stood up and said I was the best baby he had ever traveled with. He told all the people sitting around him that they should get together and get me something special, like a U.S. Savings Bond. Mom was all for that, but they didn't do it. But Mom said she was very proud of me. I told her that I would be happy to go with her on her next trip next month, but Dad isn't so sure. He said he is really tired.
Sadly Mom left her camera on the plane in Dallas when we had to run to catch our plane to San Antonio. I thought this was very fun because I love going fast in my stroller and I have never gone that fast before! But Mom is very sad about her camera. She is still praying someone will turn it in but it isn't looking good.
When we arrived in San Antonio, Aunt Lindsay was waiting for us! It took me a minute to remember her and Mom reminded me that it was Aunt Lindsay (we have pictures). Oh yes, of course. And then I was just mesmerized by her beauty and glad that she rode with me in the car. Today is her birthday; you can wish her a happy one by commenting on her blog.
More on my fun trip later....It's time for a late lunch.
