Mom tried to explain to me what a birthday was this morning. She went on for awhile about mommies remembering the joy and the pain and reflecting on the passing of time. Huh? But there was a part about perhaps getting a new toy and that part I really liked. I haven't had a birthday yet so I am not sure if I recommend them or not. But I plan to confer with Stuart soon, who's had two of them, to be sure they're worth it.
I hear a lot about Stuart and wish he didn't live so far away. I have a picture of him but Mom says he is a lot bigger now. It sounds like he and his sister Addie have a lot of fun and I would like to have them teach me a few things.
Stuart, I hope you like your birthday very much. And don't worry. Your lip can't be nearly as big as daddy's was last week.

Thanks, Ben! I got your present today and I liked it a lot. Addie told me that all the books are by Dr. Seuss.
Trust me, birthdays are really cool, because you get candles in a cupcake after supper. I love candles. Daddy ate the cupcake.
