Empathy

Yesterday Megan and Madison came for a short visit. Madison was very hungry and she was telling her mommy so very loudly. Suddenly I became overwhelmed at how horrible it must be to be her. She is so little and she was just lying there starving to death. I couldn't help crying for her. I thought maybe my mommy could help her out. My mommy instead was very worried about me. "Ben, what's wrong? Oh Ben, Madison is going to eat very soon." Sure, whatever. I know what it is like to be really hungry and soon is not soon enough. Mom did a little research and discovered that empathetic emotions develop between 8 and 9 months. So now she knows--I'm a sensitive guy! That being a little embarrassing, I proceeded to throw my toys and scream at the top of my lungs for awhile. Whew! That's better.

LOL. It's okay, Ben. The girls really dig sensitive guys. ;-)
