My Schedule
There have been some complaints about my schedule lately. Mom even pulled out her copy of "What To Expect The First Year" and pointed out that babies my age sleep an average of 14 1/2 hours a day. It's an average, Mom. Ben, couldn't you be just a little more average? No can do. I really do very well on 11 or 12 hours a day, but sometimes I catch Mom nodding off in the afternoon. Mom, you go ahead and take a little nap while I play, I tell her. Ben, that's not good parenting. I am supposed to be awake to make sure you don't swallow something you shouldn't or get stuck in a tight spot and need a little help. I can't nap on the job. Okay, Mom but you sure look beat.

Sure reminds me of when your mom was your age, Ben...Yep, your grammy needed her and your Uncle Mark to keep taking lots of naps, so she could catch some, too. It's just life! She'll be able to stay awake longer if you let her sleep all night, and be sure and take her out for walks everyday...even in the rain.
