We have yet to settle into a "normal" schedule. We may have forgotten what that looks like.
And now we start a new phase of our fall learning: The Road Trip.
The road trip was brought about by a family wedding. Sunday Mike's brother Joe will wed Charlie, who joins me in attempting to bring some Irish into the family. In the meantime, we TRAVEL.
Yesterday we traversed four states (Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and W. Virginia). We stopped last night at Mike's parents' home where we were joined by his sister, bro-in-law and nephew all up from Mazatlan. We stayed up way too late, talking into the wee hours. Ben added adventure by having an allergic reaction to the dog.
Today, we power on to Virginia and the home of Thomas Jefferson, a place Mike has never visited. Stay tuned for our adventures and I might even throw up some photos.

Tell Ben I can empathize with his allergic reaction. There was a massive tortoise at our hotel in Arequipa, Peru on Saturday and I had a serious reaction to the dust that was in its little pup tent where we found it on the hotel grounds. It ended my evening entirely when I felt my lungs closing. Yay for benadryl. -r-
