My Lent is off to a rocky start. I'm still not fully recovered from my bout with the flu and Mike is out of town. I missed Ash Wednesday service for the first time in years. It is a very special service for me, but I can barely keep my eyes open and driving is out of the question.
A month or so ago, a friend told me about BibleGateway's A 40 Day Journey with Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Lent seems an appropriate time to do this short devotional as well as some specific Lenten readings.
Lent is early in the calendar this year and immediately after the first day, comes a feast day (St. Valentine's) and then a special feast day in our home, our anniversary.
