Weekend with Nana & Grandpa

Building a sandcastle

Kyrie

Beach girl
Mike's parents, sister Grace, brother Matt and our niece Kylie came Friday to visit us in our newer, closer location. We had a great time. Saturday morning, we took a trip up to Midland so Mike's mom could see his office, and we visited The Tridge, Midland's triangular bridge (two rivers come in).

In the evening, we took a trip back to Frankenmuth and went to Bronner's, the world's largest Christmas store. We went to Zehnder's, which is a famous restaurant around here and one I had first been to 15 years ago when I went to a conference.

Yesterday we took a drive up the east side of Michigan and went to Tawas State Park on Lake Huron. It was a warm sunny day and Nana had come with sand pails and toys and the kids relished their time at the beach. It was a great weekend. Even better, it is a 3-day weekend so we have a day to recover.
