Wapiti, Wyoming
Tuesday night Ben went into a serious bout of the croup. In Big Sky, Montana. He was sitting outside our beautiful hotel room in a big chair gasping for air. Not a great start to our Yellowstone adventure.
Yellowstone is lovely. We had a few nice moments but Ben coughed constantly, Kyrie didn't think Yellowstone qualified as a "park" and my mom's hip went out.
We did see some bison and some elk. We made it up to the canyon and saw the Upper and Lower Falls. We missed Old Faithful even though we were there when it blew. There was just no way to transport everyone to the other side of the visitor's center. A lot of disappointments.
We had a lovely stay last night at the Wapiti Lodge. We had two adjoining rooms and we are well-rested and ready to do a shorter day to Custer, S.Dakota.

Your poor Ben and mom. I am so sorry. I hope as the trip goes on everyone will feel better. Long car ride probably doesn't help your mom's hip. I will pray for good health and good travels for you.
