Five Things I'm Thankful For

We are starting to get in to the swing of things and I'm thankful.

  • I have so many cupboards and storage spaces, I'm stymied at trying to decide where to put what. A nice problem.
  • After some very rough nights, the girls are finally settling in to their beds. When we moved we sold Kyri's bed and got rid of Evie's crib and replaced it with a bunk bed on the other end. That was a lot of change all at once. Nighttime and naptime were both disastrous for awhile. It is important to Everleigh to have a place that is hers with no distractions. And we had been bouncing her from place to place. I took her to her room and asked where she wanted her nap place to be. "Kyri's bed." The top bunk which has a high rail and she has had two very peaceful long napping days since I discovered this place.
  • A library card.
  • Books ordered for the new school year and a plan in place. To be altered later of course.
  • An email from my father-in-law that said he was planning on driving over to meet my mom-in-law and other family coming to our place on Labor Day weekend. We are glad they are coming; very glad that he can make a drive of 500 miles alone; two months ago he couldn't ride half that far in the car.
