14 Freak Out (Do a Disco Move)

True friendship is taking your kids all day long and then making an amazing dinner for you when you come to pick them up. Our friends the Cooks let us live with them when we first moved to Washington 8 years ago. We are not terribly excited about being so far from them. Our kids love each other too so they had an amazing day together. We didn't make it two miles after leaving their house before both of our daughters were asleep.

Mike turned into the Home Depot poster child, making home repair after home repair. We now have a screen on our window and Ben's light works, both for the first time in two years. The siding has been caulked and the porch scrubbed; painting happened, a few windows were even washed. Meanwhile, I cleaned out more clutter, made a sad choice to part with a treasured and falling apart piece of furniture, and managed to pack a few more things. (I was not the productive part of the team. Clearly.)

And with two weeks more to go before Mike, my dad, and our stuff sets off for Michigan, I clearly have to get more productive.
