So, I got off to a sputtering start with new year's resolutions and was trying to get them all done, in categories. HA! This season of life is known as "try to raise kids that will not be a menace to society and still have your health." Goals have to be a little less overarching.
So it brings me great joy to say that I accomplished one of my
recent goals (no 5):
to organize my linen closet before my mom visited (she arrives Friday). Yes, that top shelf looks a little messy but we have a lot to get up high so a mischievous 5-year old and her accomplice (age 2) don't create total havoc with all the gift wrap supplies.

Meanwhile, I'm working toward
no. 3. I took a friend with taste shopping and looked at fake plants, storage boxes, baskets, and a variety of decor options. I came away with a couple of things. The giant red vase (with lid) and the basket. The basket is sturdy and can easily be filled up with misc. toys that are not picked up when that is requested. So I liked how practical it was. But not entirely satisfied. I realize that I may have to do something seasonal or at least plan on updating this area again in a year. But for now, there it is.
