...That I recently told Mike that I had to find something to cut from my life. (The children? Just kidding, Ben.)
So it was with a bit of surprise that I found myself saying "of course" when the assistant to one of the people I book travel for called to say that my budget had been raised significantly for the coming year; could I take on more work? Apparently, it has been determined I save money and in an effort to bring some uniformity to the process and let those with big salaries spend their time elsewhere, they want to have me do more.
And while it sounds crazy to take on more, I did clarify it with the response that most of my work would be done at a certain time when I have help with childcare. The outlet is good for my mental health and we've come to rely more and more on the little income I do bring in. 2012 is no time to be turning down income opportunities.
Meanwhile, as to what to give up: There's this travel blog I write that and I'm not sure anyone is reading. I can certainly write less. And if I really start making the big time, I would gladly pay for someone to clean my house. (smile)
