Relentless

That is my word for the late summer/early fall so far. It has been one thing after another. I laugh that I thought I would have more time to write. HA!

Poor Ben loves a schedule and so we have one posted. Which we never follow. And he isn't good at transitions so I've met with resistance to "Hurry, let's do school. Ev's down for a nap." He would like a mellow, predictable day and the girls pose a constant challenge to that.

Everleigh is so very affectionate. She is in that difficult stage where she wants to be understood, emotionally and verbally. When she isn't, she howls and cries. But she's happy and laughing the rest of the time.

Kyrie is a wonderful big sister and she and Everleigh spend much time together, usually annoying Ben. Kyrie wants to keep busy, busy, busy. She is counting down the days to her birthday and daily has a new update on gifts she would like.

Outside of parenting and work, my main diversion is fantasy football. Playing in a league with a lot of lawyers is interesting. Trying to work out a trade with one right now. I've wanted to stomp my foot and ask if he thinks I'm stupid. Not sure if it is because I'm not a lawyer or I'm the token "girl." But I'm not dumb.

Poor Ben. Hard to have mellow and predictable with girls around. I can certainly speak to that with 4 sisters! Hasn't changed any after all these either.
Kyrie's birthday list surely includes lots of "girlie" things.
Such a girl.

It's not that you're a girl and a non-lawyer. It's just fantasy football. I get insulting trade offers all the time. Everyone overvalues their own players (they drafted them, after all) and 95% of trade offers end with a quick click of the "reject trade" button.

I'm glad that you realize that jmaestro. Because I've seen some hilarious trade offers from you. :)

Heh heh. If it makes you feel any better, I haven't thought much of your offers either. ;)

Good luck this week. I think you're going to beat me. I'm the Seahawks of our league.
