The Greatest Show on Earth

For the fourth time this year, I won Parent Map tickets to an event. Actually I've only entered to win tickets to four events so I'm getting spoiled. I entered to win one other thing (a non-event) and didn't. I like this streak.

We went up Saturday morning to the Ringling Bros & Barnum & Bailey Circus in Everett. We had to wade through Seattle both ways with a UW Huskies game and a Seattle Mariners game. Traffic was wretched.

Our children were enamored of the circus. They were unmoved by the PETA protesters. And we told them before we went in that there would be a million overpriced items for sale and we weren't buying. So they weren't to beg. They did fabulous. Just one little, "I sure love cotton candy" which we ignored and we walked out without spending a dime. (Well, the gas, but still...).

The Circus was smaller than we remembered. No lions, tigers but there were elephants, camels, horses, cats, and dogs. (And they looked healthy and fine.) The tightrope walkers, trapeze artists, and the three motorcyclists in a cage were favorites. It was fun. And our camera is broken.

Sounds like a fun time. Sorry about the camera. Glad the kids were good.
