One of my longtime friends was visiting the Oregon Coast from Boise and so I took the kids down to my parents' house and then over to the Coast. We had a nice visit and then I drove home last night with the three kids. I went the long way...all the way up the Oregon Coast. Thankfully, they all napped for part of the trip.
We did have some hilarious moments such as a bathroom stop that took so long to get everyone taken care of that Kyrie had to go again when we'd finished the entire rotation.
At Kelso, we had to make a stop at a park so energy could be worked out and siblings could be more than a couple feet from each other for a short time.
I survived, stayed awake and we were so glad to see Mike last night when we rolled in.
Meanwhile, I wrote about Astoria's Pier 39 and posted pictures over at Very Light Suitcase. Held off posting it so Pier 39's website would be up (it was under construction) but they finished it with errors so it still isn't working.

It was fun getting to see you even if it was only for a short time at that wonderful park.
