- I'm headed to the funeral of my matron of honor's father. He died suddenly of a heart attack last week. I am thinking about how I dressed for a summer funeral a month ago when the mom of another good friend died. It is a tough season for some of the people I love the most.
- Everleigh has gone from 0 to 50 on talking. I was worried about her at her 18-month check and her doctor assured me that only saying 3-5 words was perfectly normal at her age. This week she decided to show off her intelligence. She's even worked on a few two-word combinations. Her "yes" is delightful. I remember the other two starting with "uh-huh" and "ok." She has a clear "yes." She loves to use "snack" and various body parts, as well as identifying the nourishing portion of my body with the correct anatomical term.
- Ben has hit a growth spurt, downing vast quantities of food. A recent breakfast was a waffle, four scrambled eggs, and two pieces of toast. I also discovered he had taken over watering my tomatoes (bless him).
- I dutifully went to a planning meeting for homeschooling moms yesterday, which is a bit like a trip to the dentist for me. It just seemed like the right thing to do. Of course I volunteered my husband for things instead of adding to my responsibilities. Anyone know a good marriage counselor?
- Posted some recipes for two great pizzas I've made recently. Of course, I don't like either of them (not vegetarian-friendly) but people in my household said they were fantastic.
- Excited there is an NFL season coming. Not excited Matt Hasselbeck is leaving and Tavaris Jackson is coming. Go Tennessee Titans.
- I interviewed Betsy Talbot last year and recently wrote about them again for Very Light Suitcase. She and her husband Warren are on a 3-yr world trip. Today is day 300 and they are in Belgium. I want to be in Belgium today.

You are more than welcome to have "Tarvaris" (as we called him while he was here). =)
I was wondering about the pizza and how you could enjoy them since they had fish/meat. :)
Yes, I wouldn't mind being in Europe today either.
