Photos, Suitcases, and 2nd grade
- We had family photos taken professionally on Sunday. We took them at Pt. Defiance Park in Tacoma and unfortunately I-5 was a parking lot. We were late, tense, hungry. But they turned out ok. Though sadly my expectations for myself don't match my self-control. I was asked if I would sign a photo release so they could put Kyri on their web site. The funny thing was that I didn't think Kyri was up to her usual photographic self. The girl loves the camera and I find that just a little bit terrifying.
- I bought myself a new suitcase which both Mike and Everleigh found extremely disturbing. Three times I was asked where I planned on taking it. It is nice to be wanted.
- I ordered most of Ben's 2nd grade textbooks and they have been arriving over the last week. It was mainly justification for avoiding any homeschooling conferences again. Ben has been taking the books off into corners to peruse and saying things like "Oh 2nd grade is going to be even more fun." Yep, that's my boy. I was that geek too.

Suitcase? Oh oh.
Ben: I am so excited that you are excited for 2nd grade. It is a good year if I remember correctly. It has been a lot of years since then but I loved to learn and read.
