Spring Cleaning

Saturday, we met my mom in Portland and gave her Ben and Kyrie for a few days. Then we treated ourselves to a little Portland time with one child. Which is so ridiculously easy we could do it with one hand tied behind our back. And we laughed at the memory of how "hard" it was when we actually only had one child.

The down side is that despite repeated mental notes to myself left all over my brain, I left the camera at home. Which is not real intelligent when you are starting a travel blog and taking pictures of anything remotely related to travel.

We met up with friends who have one child Everleigh's age and we took our little ones on MAX, Portland's fabulous light rail. We walked downtown on the waterfront, fed the geese Ev's lunch leftovers and ended with a nice dinner downtown. It was really fun!

Since then, we've been cleaning and doing household repairs. Mike has been super-husband, replacing part of our fence and painting it, pulling out and cleaning under the kitchen appliances, replacing a damaged window sill, moving all our bedroom furniture around, and generally making me tired just watching him. I cleaned windows and sills, kept us fed and did a lot of routine cleaning. I'm still two days behind on my work list. But we are way ahead of where we could ever be if we had all three kids. And they having a great time. Kyrie even misses me.
