How quickly you forget...or rather, I forget. Life with a walking toddler is not at all the cushy life of existence I led for the several weeks in late January when Everleigh was both napping and not walking. We have said goodbye to our baby and hello to the world of toddlerdom. Our toddler is adventurous, spirited, communicative, and fearless. I am exhausted. And no, I have not written any thing significant. I usually crash into bed hoping to read about 9pm, only to drop off to sleep shortly thereafter. So I have all the notes from a great interview, and can't manage the time and space to write them.
I have taken a lot of movie clips of said toddler. I have homeschooled her increasingly curious brother. I have tried to parent her energetic, unstoppable, and very capable 4-yr old sister. I have not written in anyone's journals (I attempt to keep private journals for each of the kids). I have a list of household projects on the whiteboard. I've fallen behind on everything.
But we are having fun. And when I'm sane I remember that this time is short, so very short.

You are normal and your kids are too-- this is good. Get your rest whenever you can. We love and miss you guys!
Boy, can I relate to this! Good to be reminded that other amazing mommies like you struggle some, too. As I pray for myself today, I'll remember you, also, especially as I see you're sick. yuck.
