Artist to Artist: 23 Major Illustrators Talk to Children About Their Art

I stumbled across this book at the library and thought it would be interesting to read through. It has been an amazing find. The book profiles 23 artists/illustrators of children's books. There is a full page of the artist's work with a couple of pictures of the artist(s). The illustrator writes one page, telling about how he/she became an illustrator and other helpful information for prospective artists.

One of Ben's favorite things was to look at the pictures of the artists' studios. Some were neat as a pin, but most were a little more cluttered. Eric Carle's studio is a complete mess with so much paper scattered everywhere, you couldn't see the floor.

The last two illustrators design pop-ops. Ben was fascinated with this section and set about attempting to design his own pop-ops. Love, love, love this book.

I have seen this book but not gotten it yet--however, I bet D1 would love it now. Thanks for the reminder!
