I ended my responsibilities answering my brother's business calls at Christmas. Even though there weren't many calls, this had become increasingly impossible with three busy people. I felt bad letting it go to voice mail 90% of the time but calls never failed to come in when people were fussing, being schooled, or I was in the middle of fixing lunch. I feel a huge sense of relief.
Now I'm trying to discern if I can keep going with The Examiner. I haven't been paid in nearly a year because I haven't had the time or creativity necessary to write more than once a month. I'm really bored of the whole thing, but it seems wise to keep my hand in travel writing if I would like to continue growing and using my travel interest skills for future work. Still figuring this one out.

Good for you! And I know what you mean about getting bored, yet wanting to keep your hand in writing something. I've taken a two month writing hiatus from my writing, not because I really wanted to, but because I simply had to. There too many priorities (namely family and job) that had to come first. I hope to get a rest and feel refreshed when I come back. Hope you are able to too.
