- I referred to myself as "stupid" the other day. Bad idea. I've heard that word a lot since.
- Sunday, the visiting pastor described himself as a "dirtbag" (in the past). It is now one of Kyri's favorite words. Just in time for Election Day.
- Every morning, night and many times in between we have to review the birthday countdown. And then talk about the wonders of being 4. Kyrie is convinced her whole life will change on Friday. In the meantime, she has told me in very specific terms what she expects on her birthday. A chocolate cake with frosting and sprinkles and a purple candle. A pink one would be good too. And innumerable requests for presents. Oh my.
- We are participating in Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse. Ben and Kyri went to Target and found gifts for someone about their age and packed their boxes. They drew pictures to include. They have done a lot of talking about this and I've been happy to watch them practice generosity. Kyri decided to attach names to the boy and girl they are giving gifts to. It took me a few days to figure out who Sally and Tanner were.

Pink and purple: what a girly girl. I love it.
Judy
I'm so glad you're doing the Operation Christmas Child with them!
