Friday, Oh Friday

• Yesterday I had a migraine. I think I have had three in my life and this was the worst (with all accompanying symptoms). Mike managed to work with Everleigh in his office all day long and all three kids in the afternoon. (They had morning crafts with Missi.) I hope that never happens again. Incredibly, Mike says he got a lot done. Everleigh was enamored of a new environment and happy to be close to him.
• I discovered today that Ben has three lessons left in his first grade spelling book. Three. I realize most homeschooling parents aren't so fortunate to have first graders who do their math and spelling on their own. His Language Arts has been challenging because it is supposed to involve a lot of listening and oral responses. And he wants to read over my shoulder. Today I was pretty sure he had read the responses he was supposed to give as they were nearly verbatim.
• Meanwhile, anytime I ask Kyri to do anything, she runs off to a corner and tells me she must "do her homework." I have no idea where she learned that term. 
• Mike left for work at 6am and will be back after 10pm. I'm glad these days are rare. I'm glad this day didn't happen yesterday.
