Everleigh and Daddy had a little alone time together last night while Ben, Kyrie, and I joined friends and caught $5 Thursday at the Olympia Family Theater for A Year With Frog and Toad. We are huge Frog and Toad fans and I thought it was time for some culture. Ben and Kyri had no idea what they were getting themselves into but they loved it. (Except the one scary story where "Little Frog" gets separated from his parents.)
I had to laugh when I asked them to tell me about their favorite part of the performance. Ben told me he loved "Cookies" in which Frog and Toad can't keep from eating too many cookies. They try boxing them up, only to unwrap the box and finish them off. Ben said he felt that way about cookies. And then I asked Kyri about her favorite part. "I loved the ladies and their beautiful dresses." Who is this child and how is she mine? Somehow I got a costume girl!
