Sarah came today. Sarah is a 16-year old gift from God, referred to me by my friend Missi as the babysitter with this recommendation: "Kids adore her always and she is really responsible." Sarah also has her own vehicle and is homeschooled with a flexible schedule. And she is spending three hours a week with us on Monday mornings so that I can have a little time one-on-one with a child. Or luxuriously, to myself.
Today I took a walk with just Everleigh in the stroller. Unless you have more than one young child that means very little. But if you have tried to take three children on a walk before you will know how nice it is to go on a quiet walk, moving quickly, and not having to say "Hold hands. Look both ways. Stay on the sidewalk. Pick up the pace. Mommy's trying to get some exercise." It was wonderful.
I'm also trying to consign a bunch of the kids' clothes and baby equipment at a weekend consignment sale. Today I tagged over 40 items while Sarah supervised a painting project.

I think I need a Sarah in my life too!
Also very cute pics of Kyri and Ev. I'm very partial to the idea of sisters. So sweet.
Wonderful idea. :)
so glad you had such a good day! And a walk with only one child!!
OH yes! A babysitter is definately a God-send. A girl at my church, about the same age as Sarah, is coming here this Friday to watch the girls. She always takes them in the mother's room during church. I'm so glad you have that now!
Glad you have Sarah. Time alone or with one child is something my mom rarely had raising five of us so enjoy!

Oohh. I wish I had a Sarah. It's been hard to track down a daytime sitter here because homeschoolers tend to be Extremely Busy People. Or maybe it's just the area where we live.
