- I shopped at my favorite west coast store and found some scarves, a skirt, shrug, and a couple of tops.
- Many great gifts. Most unexpected: lavender chocolate caramels from my cousin Mike and his wife Linda.
- Ben and his second cousin Cody encountered a yellow jacket's nest and the y.j.'s won. I was relieved Ben wasn't allergic to the sting, only to find out that bee stings are different than yellow jacket stings and he still may be allergic to bee stings. He was tough but he didn't go out back again.
- My brother flew up from southern Cal and my cousin Jon came down and spent the weekend with us too. That was a treat. We had fun. They took me out late on my birthday and we watched all the drunk freshman at OSU. Either pledging has begun or wearing princess tiaras is in for 18-year olds. I felt very old. But also very wise. I'll take 40 and wise over 18 and stupid any day.
- Everleigh still doesn't think she likes to travel. (Sigh.)
- Saw my chiropractor on the way home; he said becoming a mother means "donating your body to the future." AMEN. My neck, back, and hip apparently.
- I finally won a week of fantasy football. Barely. Happy Birthday to me.
